Welcome! This here be my little box of goodies, condensed and presented in an international spacial medium that's accessible almost anywhere and anyhow, upon on which I present my music and other creative musings that I deem worthy of worldly attention, adding to the feedback loop of the collective. This site design is intended to be easy for the eyes and easy to access. My name is Marcus Constein and I am 23 years young. I try my best to make sweet, lush, good music to chill, dance, enjoy and listen to. And that's not really all there is to know. But for now, it will do. People either hate my music. love my music or they think its just about ok. Whatever you might think of it, I hope you enjoy listening to it. Daddy Goes To Work is an ongoing musical project that stretches into various genres of electronic music. It has been going on since 2000 and it's constantly getting better and more developed, I'm still learning and progressing further with my stuff and have several tunes under my belt up and a heck of a live act that's been assembled. I began fiddling and playing around with music much earlier than 2000 but around that time Reason was released, and as such, the whole history of modern electronic music was changed for a whole generation of music producers world wide. I am always interested to do work for commercial purposes such as game music, television commercials, etc. I'm trying to get into the movie production world in order to try to score music for film and moving imagery. I have done some work here and there for computer games and various multimedia, I always enjoy a good challenge. I categorize my music in old stuff and new stuff. The old stuff consists mainly of IDM, DNB and strange things and experiments in general. This era was also was somewhat of a learning curve. However, given time I began to get really good and found that I could actually present my music to other people. A good selection of this music, ranging from 2000-2005 is available to download in full 160kbs mp3 versions. My new stuff has better production values and is more of an attempt to actually get something done and get somewhere in the music world, in other words It's an attemt to write enough music in a specific genre so that It can amount to a live-act, label contracts, and so forth. For this reason it's condensed to two genres: Ambient/dubby chill out music and sleek progressive tech-house. It's available for download as clips in full 160kbs and as complete tunes in 44kbs format. Disclaimer: Some of the songs might be Works in progress, and the versions offered here are not entirely 100% finished, the final mastered versions will probably differ somewhat from the downloadable versions here. This is a form of insurance from my part, and not a blunder. New stuff: |

| The DGTW Live act. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
|
After having produced music for a while I decided to try out what a live-act would be like. With the wonders of software and the development of new interesting audio applications there is no reason why electronic music can't be presented in new innovative creative forms. I got around to learn Ableton live and see how I could sculpt a live act from it. Forget boring 'live acts' where the artist mixes cd's and pushes play and merely pretends to play live. This is a true attempt at an authentic live act that is materialized and realized at the location and with the surrounding atmosphere, the way live acts should be performed. Using Ableton live, a midi controller, a keyboard, and my dx200 I manage to play instruments, tweak synths and mix stuff in ableton in any way and in any order I like, no two sets will be the same and I won't play any of my songs during my live act, This is music totally separate from my sequenced and recorded songs. Download my first recorded live act with this new setup where I played at a local party. Flutes, Intro, several synths and pianos are amongst the things I play on the spot. |

| Visual space. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
I am an photographer by education and by an interest in visual space and narrative. At an early age I began to dabble in graphics and the like before my interest in music took over as my major creative output. I still carry with me the love and interest in making pixels look nice and tidy. I also have experience from working with photography, print and design in the field with different clients and on different levels. Now days I tend to work with Adobe Photoshop and photography manipulation in general. I was more into digital design and graphic design when I was younger but still merge those parts into my photo-manipulation work. A space dedicated to my creative efforts would not be complete if it did not include my efforts in the visual realm of things. Click thumbnail for a popup (some may be large!)
